Was around the area and decided to stop buy.  To let you know, this was a Tuesday around 700am.
Went in and peruses the case and just saw the regular donut fair that you would see at any donut shop.  Didn't see any of the specialty donuts that was shown on yelp.
My first selection was a large jalapeño sausage roll.  Then for my second selection, I saw a cherry fritter.  Which I was a little excited, because most donut places only offer apple.  Unfortunately, I wasn't able to try it because the attendant dropped the fritter while moving the tray.    After the disappointment, I just ordered my usual blueberry donut and some donut holes.  So I paid for my order and left.
When I opened my purchases, I noticed he added a red velvet cake donut.  I guess he felt bad and saw my horrified reaction.
Other than that little mishap, the sausage roll and the donuts were good.  Everything tasted fresh and not dry.  If I'm around the neighborhood, I'll give this place another try.

Super fresh yummy donuts! I got a red velvet cake donut and it was amazing. So soft and moist. Not overdone or dry. I also got a bear claw. Amazing. One of the best I've had. And a jumbo sausage roll. They have an awesome selection and great prices! They had a special going where if you spend $5 or more you got a free drink which was a nice touch. The service was awesome and they were so nice and welcoming. Will definitely be stopping again! I have my eye on one of those unicorn donuts hehe.

This cute donut shop is the latest well-kept secret... on yelp, at least. My donut-eating days will be appropriately few, but for as long as I'm hanging out in the medical district, this will be my go-to donut shop. (Disclaimer: I haven't tried all the donuts in the neighborhood.)

    Yay:
    - Family business, this one run by Son Yun (who bakes the doughnuts using the family recipes) and I think sometimes Daughter Yun
    - Fantastic service (I ordered half a dozen to share with friends, and the guy at the counter patiently agreed to wrap the bacon one in paper so it wouldn't touch the others, for the sake of all my vegetarian friends)
    - Soft yeast dough with the perfect amount of chew (this is key)
    - Not too glaze-heavy, which suits my tastes well
    - Lots of options
    - Only place I've found nearby so far with BACON MAPLE SYRUP DONUTS (yessssss I discovered these five years ago and was so happy to find them in Dallas now)
    - Walkable distance from UTSW (CUH at least), depending on how hot it is outside and how picky you are about sidewalks

    Favorites:
    - chocolate-glazed
    - bacon maple syrup, as mentioned above

    Nay:
    - the donut holes were far too sweet for me, but now i know not to get something with a large surface area-to-volume ratio...

    Update: visited again and got to see some more adorably detailed cartoon-themed donuts. If you're having an Incredibles 2 party, those are also available to order! Their designs are great for an extra special treat so even the dieting guests at your party have something to at least feast their eyes on. (;

Papa Yun now has a location in Dallas!  I'm a big fan of their donuts after trying it from their Ft Worth location.  Papa Yun reminds you that breakfast is the most important meal of the day and start your day off right!  Customer service with a smile and politeness as its family owned and operated.

If you're craving sweet or savory, they have a large selection to help your taste buds fall in love with breakfast.  The plain glazed donuts of subtly sweet and fluffy.  Melts in your mouth with every bite.  Fresh made kolaches with plenty of flavor to keep you full until lunch and maybe dinner.  They have plenty of drinks help nourish your caffeine and vitamin c needs.

What's crazy is they have soooo many items while this is their soft opening!  Can't wait to follow up with them after grand opening.  Absolutely give this place a try!
